Maggie Gill is the president and executive principal of Memorial Health. She is a graduate of the recognized Florida State University where she studied Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature. In 1996, Gill joined Saint Leo University and earned her master’s degree in business administration in 1998.
Maggie Gill’s work experience
For over two decades, Gill has gained sufficient professional experience of working in the health sector. Gill began her career in 1994 at Tenet Healthcare, a health service company located in Dallas, Texas. She served as the company’s CFO for ten years. While working at Tenet, she was in charge of overseeing activities at North Shore Medical Center, Palmetto General Hospital, and Coral Gables Hospital. Gill excelled in her work and won the Outstanding CFO Award for three consecutive years.
In 2004, Maggie Gill joined Memorial Health as the head of finance. In 2005, she became the COO of the company, a position she held for six years. In 2011, Gill was appointed the principal and the chief executive of Memorial Health. As the company’s senior executive director, Gill supervises physician leaders as well as all senior and junior managers. She is also responsible for human and public relation activities. Gill also oversees technical activities such as neuroscience, orthopedic, and perioperative programs. Additionally, she heads the Heart & Vascular Institute and the trauma division.
Memorial Health’s achievements
Under Gill’s management, the company secured seven high-profile awards at the 16th Annual Healthcare Heroes Awards. According to Gill, the firm contested in six categories: health care education, community outreach, medical care innovation, allied health professionals, organization, and physician achievement. George Medical Society announced Memorial Health officials as the winner and issued them seven awards. Most of the awards went to individual staff members while others to various programs. The company received two awards on community outreach programs. In a statement issued by CEO Gill, she congratulated the honorees for their hard work and commitment to help Memorial Health realize its goals. She further elaborated that Memorial Health’s mission is to create a difference in the community and the generations to come.
